The second installment of Oakley’s new social media campaign, You Vs, will feature Irish golf sensation Rory McIlroy.

You Vs McIlroy will go live on September 24th and invite Oakley Facebook fans to take on the US Open champion on the prestigious West Course at Wentworth. Viewers will be fully immersed into the world of professional golf and be able to control the outcome of the 18-hole experience by making club selections and deciding on shot trajectory at key narrative points. The viewing experience will be further enhanced with personalization points throughout, including your players name on the back of the caddie and friend’s photographs on the club honours board.
You Vs’, which launched on June 13th with Tour de France sprint king Mark Cavendish, is an innovative new social media campaign designed to build the Oakley pan-European Facebook community. The campaign blurs the lines of reality by taking viewers inside the world of professional sport and pitching them “head to head” with Oakley pro athletes.
Oakley worked with Big Balls Films on concept development and film production, Rehab Studio for technical production and Maxus/Group M for media.
